Antique Egyptian Statuette "BES" | Grand Tour Era (c 1780-1920s)
This is a blue-glazed faience statuette of the Egyptian God, Bes. This stunning antique would make a ideal compliment to an art collection, or as a gift to any ancient civilization enthusiast.Bes was often represented as a dwarf with a large head, bulging eyes, protruding tongue, bowed legs, bushy tail, and sometimes a crown of feathers.
